LG W1952TQ LCD Monitor Repair

This video just saved me over $200 on a replacement monitor! My LG 24" suddenly quit working. I disassembled it exactly as in the video,? found 3 blown capacitors, easily identifiable by rounded tops, replaced them with 3 new caps from Radio Shack, and now it's working perfectly. Note that I replaced all the capacitors with equal uF rating caps but higher voltage ratings (all they had in stock at Radio Shack), it seems to work just fine. Now I don't have to buy a new monitor! You rock!!

LG Flatron L246WP-BN Monitor Repair Tutorial

My LCD computer monitor quit where LED stopped lighting and would not power on. Video guide shows dis-assembly and repair of broken display. Power supply said LGP0024-110B and was not stocked. The LG/Zenith P/N is 6709900034B or 6709900034E (for LG L246WPQ too). It is available for ~$110 online. I repaired the PS for $5 by replacing bad bulging electrolytic capacitors. Funny they were on +5V circuit and that seemed to work but replacement of caps fixed the problem
